Not a good day for Big Brother Naija Mike Edwards who represented Rivers State in the High Jump Event of the ongoing Edo 2020 National Sports Festival in Benin City after he could only finish third in the high jump event.
Termed favourites by many due to his form at the just concluded Making of Champions Grand Prix two weeks ago was stopped by Team Delta’s Aya David.
Aya David won gold with a first jump of 2.15 meters ahead of Lagos’s Oyedele Cyprian and Mike Edwards.
It will be recalled Mike Edwards represented Team Delta at the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja 2018 but this time around he competed in the colours of team Rivers.
David last 2 weeks in Yaba, Lagos lost to Mike Edwards in the High Jump event but have now corrected his wrongs defeating rival Mike.
