After the end of the first phase, eight teams have been shown the exit doors while another eight progressed to the second phase of the group stage.

Heartland who are just one of the two teams that have won their opening three games till date (Warri Wolves, the other) progressed from Group C alongside reigning champions, Katsina United. Warri Wolves and MFM were the two teams that qualified from Group D.
Akwa United will face Lobi Stars in the first game of the second phase while Heartland slug it out with MFM in the second game. The four teams are in the Pool A of the second phase.
