NLO U19 Youth League: Ikukuoma FC, Ozalla clash for NLO 1 ticket

Ikukuoma FC of Imo will face Ozalla Football Academy in the 2022-23 NLO U19 Youth League today at the Awka City Stadium to determine the team that will get promotion to NLO 1.

Ikukuoma FC, a club based at Ezeagbogu, Ezinihitte Mbaise topped Group A with 10 Points at the end of the four games played in the group while
Ozalla emerged tops in group B at the conclusion of group matches on Wednesday following a 1-1 draw with group runners-up, Rangels in an all Anambra Derby. They finished with seven points from the played three games.

The Imo representatives defeated Campos Feeders (5-1), Emerald and Gerald FC (3-0), and Platinum FC (2-0) while getting a 2-2 draw against Ebonyi United.

With all group matches concluded on Wednesday, the stage is now set for the final between Ikukuoma and Ozalla, with the eventual winner sealing their place in the 2023-24 NLO1.

Nine teams started the race, now its clear the boys have been separated from the men with Ikukuoma FC and Ozalla Football Academy proving that they are the two best teams in the league and with only ticket available for the NLO 1, both must contest it to get the sole ticket.
