One of the most outstanding Teqball players at the maiden edition of Nigeria Teqball Challenger Series in Abuja, Victor Oyemade has attributed his success to hard work, determination, and regular training in defeating his opponents during the tournament.
Oyemade who won total of $500 still have chance to win more when other results will be pronounced on Tuesday, he said the only thing that singled him out was training and re-traning he engaged himself daily.
At the just concluded Teqball championship, the Kwara state born player won $200 in the men single final, he also picked $300 in mixed double final.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the medal presentation that was witnessed by Teqball stakholders, fans, friends and families Oyemade said: “I am very happy that the energy and hard work I put into this game did not go in vein.
” All the athletes are very good they put enough efforts, but hard work gave me the edge above them.
“I am footballer, I play football with Nationwide League One, I do a lot of training personally jogging the ball like 5000 times daily, so, I am very friendly with the ball and it gave edge over my opponents in teqball.” he said.
With this feat Oyemade is expected to be among the players that will represent Nigeria at the upcoming Teqball world championship in November later this year.
