Lobi Stars head coach, Kabiru Dogo has asserted that they agreed to face Heartland on Wednesday morning to know the extent they have prepared for the start of the season.
Dogo accepted that the Pride of Benue have engaged in top level friendlies but he reckoned that they must continue to train very hard and keep the players busy with games to ensure that they are well fortified for the commencement of the season.
He acknowledged that the pre-season tournaments Lobi Stars took part in were truly helpful and affirmed that if his wards are ready for the start of the season.
“We still have one or two things to consider as a team hence our decision to accept a friendly game with Heartland,” Dogo told www.dasportstainment247.com.
“We have taken part in some pre-season tournaments and these have helped to build our team. We want to use the friendly with Heartland to test some of what we have done in the past few days.
“We are not trained to underrate any team. We will take the game seriously and use it to prepare our players towards the rigour of the new season.”
