All roads will lead to the agrarian town of Ogwa in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State on Thursday (tomorrow) when the former Cruiserweight Boxer, Chukwuemeka Igboanugo is laid to rest.
Imo State Government had promised a state burial for the departed hero and has announced his burial arrangements after his death in active service at the last National Sports Festival, Asaba, Delta 2022.
In a press statement signed by the Imo State Sports, Youth and Social Development, Honourable Emeka Okoronkwo, the late Boxer’s remains is to be committed to mother earth on Thursday (tomorrow) at his family compound in Umueze Ogwa, Mbaitoli LGA.
The funeral ceremonies will commence by 8.00 am at Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex Owerri and terminates at his country home at Umueze Ogwa in Mbaitoli LGA.
