Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari has given seal of approval to the appointment of Abdussamad Badamosi as the Chairman of Katsina United with immediate effect.
In a letter from the Government House and signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports and Social Development, Katsina, Bello Fago and made available to SportingLife states that the state governor, Masari has endorsed the appointment of the young philanthropist and he is to take charge of the club for the next four years.
“Reference to your letter No MSS/SC/GEN/VOL.VI/87 dated 6th August 2019, I am directed to inform you that His Excellency, the Governor has noted the contents of the letter and approved the appointment of Abdussamad Badamosi as Chairman of Katsina State Football Club (Katsina United FC), please,” the content of the letter from the state government read.
While reacting to his appointment, Badamosi opined that he is happy to be given the chance to serve his state and that he will try his best to ensure that Katsina United remain formidable in the upcoming season.
He called on all in the club to rally round him to ensure that there is no vacuum in the order of administration to ensure that the Changi Boys remain very competitive.
“Everything is not settled and just like the Secretary to the State Government has said, any talk of gossip has ended and right now work has started because it has been given to someone,” Badamosi said.
“I want us all to rally round the club and ensure that we work very hard to make this club great again.”
Badamosi who has been within football circle for a long time is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano. He also obtained international Certificate at the University of Business in New Zealand.
He is a former member of the Katsina State Referee football Council where he served for 16 years.
He is Presently the Treasurer, Katsina State Referee Football Council and also a former NFF Match Commissioner.
