Chikelue Iloenyosi, Chairman Anambra State Football Association who also doubles as Chairman, Board of Trustees, All Nigeria Players Union, has penned a congratulatory message to Rangers International football club of Enugu for Winning the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League title for the eighth time in their illustrious history.
Similarly, Iloenyosi, who is affectionately called ‘General’, equally congratulated El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, for the team’s quick dash back to the NPFL after just a single season in the NNL.
Rangers International FC won the NPFL trophy with 70 points. The ‘General’ commended the ‘hardworking’ Rangers GM, Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, for his swift transformation of the Coal City Flying Antelopes team that struggled to survive relegation last season.
He also commended the players and technical crew of Rangers led by ‘The Working One’, Fidelis Ilechukwu for a ‘job well done’.
As an ex player of El Kanemi Warriors, Iloenyosi also congratulated the team for gaining promotion to the NPFL and also standing a chance of qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup if they beat Abia Warriors July 29 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos State.
Iloenyosi also hinted of a proposed Grassroot Football Development Tournament that will kick off in Anambra State soon, which comprises of a Football Academy for the U13s , U15s, and U17s football teams.
“This Project is one amongst many projects proposed by the Iloenyosi led Anambra Football Association.
