Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has been re-elected for another four-year term as the Anambra Football Association Chairman in an election conducted on Monday in Awka.
There were series of mild drama before the election was eventually held despite the directive from the Anambra Government that the election cannot go ahead but this had been condemned by all as an interference from the Governor Willie Obiano led Government but amidst tight security.
22 of the 26 voting delegates voted for the Senator Ubah who contested unopposed while the Vice-Chairman was returned unopposed too.
Seven others were elected as members and with the fresh four-year mandate it meant that Senator Ubah and the newly elected members will lead the rebranded Anambra FA until 2024.
The newly elected Anambra FA chairman promised to continue his football development in the state amidst pomp and ceremony.
Top politician and business mogul, Arthur Eze was on hand to offer his support and even donated 10 million naira to assist the Anambra FA executive to take up from where they stopped.
