Heartland 2-1 Dakkada Match Report: Maduforo late strike seals victory for Heartland

Two second half goals from Adachi Emmanuel and Kingsley Maduforo ensured that Heartland came from behind to defeat Dakkada FC 2-1 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Match Day 12 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The Naze Millionaires went behind in the first half in the 39th minute courtesy of Kokoete Udo’s well converted strike for the visitors, before the break. Adachi Emmanuel put the Scientific Boys back in the contest from a scrabble in the box in the second half , scoring his fourth goal of the season. Dakkada Captain Aniekan Ekpe was sent off shortly after the equaliser for dissent, but the visitors didn’t relent until added time when Kingsley Maduforo who was making his debut of the season stole the headline with a fantastic finish to seal maximum three points and stretched the Naze Millionaires unbeaten run to five games.

Speaking to the press after the game Heartland Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu played down his impact on the team but acknowledge the team’s efforts, management and fans of the club

” I am so happy but its not me, its about the team; all about management team; All about Imolites. I know by now they will be happy for what they saw this evening-Scientific football before them at home we are trying to make sure that they implement that for Imolites to enjoy football, we are happy about that.”
