Katsina United attacker, Michael Ibe is still celebrating his strike that earned the Chanji Boys important away point at Heartland FC last weekend.

The home team had scored first through Christian Nnaemeka’s long throw-in that hit a player of Katsina United just four minutes after the game started at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri but Ibe restored parity in the 72nd minute after he stabbed home from close range while the home team defence was caught napping.

Ibe told SportingLife exclusively that the goal was dedicated to his daughter, Anastasia Michael ibe who clocked a year recently.

“I am dedicating that goal to my daughter. She’s the source of me and my girlfriend’s joy. We are happy to have Anastasia Michael Ibe in our midst. We pray she stays with us and grow with us,” Ibe said.

“I am dedicating my goal in Owerri to her. The goal brought so much happiness to the team and we believe it will kickstart something good in our season.”

Katsina United have five points from four games ahead of their weekend’s home game with Sunshine Stars.
