.Eyes more goals in the final game of the Croatian League season

Hajduk Split attacker, Samuel Emem Eduok says he is thrilled to have secured the Europa League ticket with his Croatian club and he is hoping to end the season with a flourish when they travel to Inter Zapresic on Saturday evening in the final game of the season.

Hajduk Split narrowly lost 3-2 at home to Rijeka last weekend at home with Eduok scoring his 11th goal of the season in the league for the Whites but in spite of their loss, they still secured their ticket to the next season Europa League.

Hajduk Split nearest rivals, HNK Gorica which also has Nigerian defender, Musa Muhammad on their payroll finished the season with 49 points from 36 games in the sixth position which is eight points behind Igor Tudor tutored Split who are fifth with 57 points from 35 matches going into the final game of the season against already-relegated Zapresic who are bottom of the table with 17 points from 35 games.

Speaking with www.dasportstainment247.com ahead of the dead rubber game slated for the Stadion SRC Zapresic, Eduok expressed his happiness at having the opportunity to represent the club in the Europa League competition and he affirmed that he is targeting a few more goals on Saturday evening to add gloss to already impressive season for him on a personal note.

“It was a difficult game that we lost at home to Rijeka in which we gave all that we had but it was not enough to rescue a point. We have taken the positives out of the game and are hoping for a good finish against Inter Zapresic on Saturday,” Eduok told www.dasportstainment247.com from his base.

“It (the defeat to Rijeka) was no hard feelings for us because we already picked a ticket to the Europa League. It is the dream of every player to represent his club in European Club competitions and I am elated to have that chance too with Hajduk Split. I am thrilled that I got a goal to make it 11 goals and I am hoping that I finish the season with a few more goals on Saturday.

“This season is by far my best season in Europe and it has to do with the fact that I have settled down well here and well relaxed. I am enjoying my game too which is very important. I still have two more seasons here on my contract and there is no looking back for me.”

The former Dolphins and Kasimpasa striker has played 29 games for the Whites with 11 goals and six yellow cards too. The 26-year-old has been involved in over 1500 minutes of action for Hajduk Split in the Croatian 1st League alone ahead of the final game on Saturday evening.
