Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) A non- governmental Organisation committed to the promotion of peace and advancement of the youths in Nigeria has showered encomiums on High Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports describing him as a unifier and an uncommon Patriotic Nigerian who not only believes in the Nigerian Project but has continued to use the instrument of Sports to unite Nigerians.
In a press release by the group and made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, The President, Youth Advocate For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) described Chief Donatus Ejidike as a worthy role model to the Nigerian Youths whose life of selfless service to Humanity is worthy of emulation.
Amb Timothy Nwachukwu revealed that the High Chief Ejidike is a great Nigerian Patriot who has continued to pay his dues in sports and youth development in Nigeria and therefore, deserves a National Honour by the Federal Government of Nigeria for his commitment to the Nigerian Project through the instrumentality of sports.*
Amb Nwachukwu decried the attitude of the Nigerian State in Honouring great men who have devoted a greater part of their lives to the service of motherland after their demise and therefore called on the Anambra State Government as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria to Immortalise Chief Donatus Ejidike by naming a National Sports monument in his honour for his giant strides in promoting and unifying Nigerians through Sports.
Amb Nwachukwu urged Chief Ejidike to remain undaunted in his commitment to making Nigeria a better place as Posterity and the younger generation will never forget his labour of love for the benefit of the nation. He prayed God to grant the Pillar of Sports long life and good health
