Nasarawa Amazons assistant manager, Seyi Olaoye was left unconvinced at the Lafia side unimpressive 2-1 victory over fellow NWFL Premiership side Confluence Queens on Monday in their opening game of the Flying Officers’ Cup 2020.

Despite not having the better possession in the game, Nasarawa Amazons went on to cement an important victory through goals from Adejoke Ejalonibu and winger Chidiebere Opara.

Olaoye while speaking with the media after the game said the victory wasn’t convincing enough as he expected his players to have done better in the game.

“To be fair, I didn’t really like the game, I felt the girls should have possessed more from the back and created more chances than our opponent.

” I think we didn’t do all the things we learnt. He told the Flying Officers Cup Media.

“We need to improve on our game if we want to get to the next stage in this competition, but the good thing is that we took our chances and made it count,” he concluded.

Nasarawa Amazons will face Honey Badgers on Wednesday, in their second game of the tournament.
