Former Flying Eagles striker, Collins Yira Sor and Peter Olayinka further underlined their predatory instinct in the Europa Conference League with a goal each while Cyriel Dessers provided an assist as Feyenoord and Slavia Prague settled for a 3-3 draw in Rotterdam as the first leg of the club’s competition’s quarter final tie was played yesterday.

Feyenoord stunned the visitors with the curtain raiser in the 10th minute through Luis Sinisterra but Slavia Prague equalised through their Nigerian import, Olayinka in the 41st minute. It was the Super Eagles’ fourth goal of the season in the competition from 8 games.

Sor who only moved to Slavia Prague in January on a free transfer from Banik Ostrava put his side in the ascendancy in the 67th for his fifth goal in the competition from six games but the home team fought back again and were rewarded with the leveler in the 74th minute through Marcos Senesi off Dessers brilliant assist.

Slavia Prague goalie, Ondrej Kolar’s gaffe handed the home team the initiative when he allowed a long range effort from Orkun Kokcu to squirm through his hands in the 86th minute. But Ibrahim Traore’s 95th minute tap in drew the visitors level with the last kick of the game as both sides settled for a 3-3 draw.

Olayinka who skippered his team was on the pitch for 83 minutes before he was replaced by Slanislav Tecl but it was the introduction of Dessers in the 64th minute for Bryan Linssen that rejuvenated Feyenoord.

The return leg comes up in Prague next week Thursday.
