Rivers United skipper, Austin Festus has stated that the Pride of Rivers must adopt the strategy that will make Young Africans of Tanzania prone to errors as both teams prepare for the quarter final of the CAF Confederation Cup later this month.
Stanley Eguma’s men met and defeated Young Africans in the first round of the CAF Champions League last season but Festus said he has taken his time to look at the performance of the Tanzanians on current form and that what he observed has surprised him.
He said whoever feels Young Africans would be a pushover Is far from reality with what they have recorded in the competition this year.
“It is another tough draw for us and we must prepare very well if we are to beat them again,” Festus told our correspondent.
“It is true we played against them last season but they gave us a tough time. We won because we stayed together and suffered a lot in that game.
” They are a good side and we cannot afford to toy with them.”
‘Club Africa, Real Bamako, TP Mazembe and US Monastir have met Young Africans at one stage but they were unable to stop them.
