At Nilayo Sports Management Limited, we aim to promote sporting activities from the grassroots level to the international level in Africa and we know that one of the ways to achieve this is by building the capacity of young people to ensure that we continue to maintain excellence.
We congratulate our former Brand and Communications Manager, Damilola Pedro, who was recently awarded the Prize of the FIFA/CIES International University Network 2020 by the the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES).
Damilola received this Prize at the FIFA Headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland because of her brilliant dissertation on Esports League System in Africa. Damilola wrote the dissertation in 2018 while she was still at Nilayo Sports and in 2020, she led the team to organise Esports Championship Eseries.
Today, Damilola is currently redefining Esports in Africa through her work at Gamr, West Africa’s biggest Esports platform.
Damilola dedicated the Award to Mr Bukola Olopade, our visionary Chief Executive Officer who inspired her to turn her vision into reality.
