Emeka Friday Eze made it five goals in his last four games for Ankara Keciorengucu after he scored one and assisted with the second goal as his 1st Lig Turkish side came back from 2-0 down to pick a point against Super Lig chasing Erzurum BB last weekend.
Erzurum BB who paraded ex-Super Eagles striker, Aaron Samuel Olanare in the game are currently fifth in the league and they coasted to a 2-0 lead within the opening 25 minutes. Olanare netted first in the fourth minute while Arvydas Novikovas doubled the advantage in the 25th minute.
The revival came in the second half through Eze who reduced the tally from the penalty spot in the 55th minute for his 15th goal of the season from 29 games and he quickly turned provider two minutes later when he laid the pass for Ibrahim Djibrilla’s equalizer.
Ibrahim Olawoyin who played another 90 minutes for his 32nd appearance of the season filled with eight goals and eight assists and five Team of the Week appearances shone brilliantly in the encounter.
Ibrahim Alhassan and Anthony Uzodimma also contributed their part with their 14th and 16th games of the season. They have scored a goal and three goals respectively.
With the positive contributions of the four Nigerian Ankara Keciorengucu who were relegation battlers at the start of the season can now look forward to another season in the lower league. They are currently 11th with 48 points from 35 games and have secured their berth in next season’s 1st Lig even with some games to spare.
