Former Enyimba defender, Valentine Ozornwafor may have played his last game for Spanish second division side, Almeria because of his lack of game time as his loan move from Galatasaray expires on July 21

The young mobile defender has not been able to pin down a regular shirt at Almeria where he had only featured for 154 minutes and he did his quest for inclusion into the team further dent with the red card he got on July 9 against Cadiz even while on the substitute bench.

Ozornwafor has only been involved in four matches in all competitions since he joined Almeria at the beginning of the season about a month after his move to Galatasaray from Enyimba and he got a goal too but his disciplinary record of a yellow and a red card has not done him any good at all.

He made his debut, a substitute appearance in their goalless draw at Deportivo La Coruna in October last year and he also featured against Fuenlabrada and Extremadura in the league. The defender was booked once in those three matches but got a red card against Girona for off the ball incidence while on the bench on July 9.

The lanky defender got his only goal for Almeria in their 3-2 loss to Tamaraceite in the Copa Del Rey in December last year and was also yellow carded in the game.

Ozornwafor thus missed his team’s close win at home to Rayo Vallecano and the away trip to Ponferradina on Thursday but will be available for their final game of the season at home to Malaga on Monday.

The former Enyimba defender is due to return back to Galatasaray any moment from July 21 when his loan contract with Almeria expires.
