2020-21 Nigeria Professional Football League season highest scorer and Nasarawa United hitman, Silas Nwankwo has disclosed that he is spoiled for choice and currently studying proposals from clubs within the top six in the nation’s topflight and clubs abroad.
In a sensational season filled with drama, Nwankwo excelled on all fronts on a personal note scoring 19 goals in the NPFL and a few more in the Aiteo Cup and his goals which he delivered with impeccable, poise and precision has turned him into the beautiful bride of clubs in the domestic league and overseas.
A source close to the ebullient striker told www.dasportstainment247.com that Nwankwo has got transfer offers from clubs that finished last NPFL season in the top six while clubs from Norway, Sweden, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, France, and a host of others have inundated the forward with irresistible offers towards signing him.
The source further disclosed that the striker is presently studying the offers with the assistance of his representatives and that he is set to make up his mind on the club he intends to join in the next couple of days.
“Silas has never been short of offers. He has been receiving several calls and messages ever since the league ended from top clubs in the NPFL and abroad,” the source who wished to remain anonymous told www.dasportstainment247.com.
“Clubs from Norway, Sweden, Qatar, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, France, and many more have submitted concrete offers but we are taken time to study them one after the other because we do not want him to make any mistake.
“We are sure that in the next couple of days he will make known the club he will be joining. A lot aligning and realigning has taken place and he is close to revealing his favoured choice.”
Nwankwo was on the books of Sunshine Stars two seasons ago but left the Owena Whales for Nasarawa United during the just concluded season in search of more playing time which was not guaranteed in Akure as at then.
He rewarded the confidence reposed in him with goals that kept the Solid Miners in the hunt for CAF Inter-club ticket until the last game of the season.
