Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, MFR, has expressed gratitude to God for the safe release of Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, who was recently abducted in the Okigwe Zone by unidentified gunmen.
In a statement made available to dasportstainment247.com, Prince Madumere rejoiced over the news following confirmation from the Imo State Police Command that Hon. Ogbu had regained his freedom. He described the development as a testimony of God’s protection and faithfulness.
“I sincerely thank and glorify the Almighty for sparing the life of our dear brother, Hon. Ngozi Ogbu, and for granting him freedom without harm. This is indeed a victory of faith and a reason for Imo people to rejoice,” Madumere said.
He commended the efforts of security agencies and the steadfast prayers of Imo people, noting that both played a crucial role in ensuring Ogbu’s safe return. The former Deputy Governor also called for continued prayers for others still in captivity, urging residents to remain hopeful and supportive of initiatives to end kidnapping in the state.
“Let us not relent in our prayers until all the abducted sons and daughters of Imo are returned home safely,” he added.
Prince Madumere reaffirmed his belief that God’s grace, combined with the collective will of the people, can overcome any challenge threatening peace and security in Imo State.
