Officials of the Game On Afrika Tournament on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (RFA) as part of preparations for the maiden edition of the competition, which kicks off on October 7, 2025, in Ghana.
The delegation was received by the Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra RFA, Gabriel Godwin Kwao, alongside Executive Committee Member in charge of Women and the League Board, Alhaji Oliver. Discussions focused on final arrangements to ensure smooth hosting of the event.
Registration for U-19 teams across the country is ongoing at www.gameonafrika.com with a fee of 1,000 Ghana Cedis. According to the organizers, winners and runners-up from each region will receive 5,000 and 3,000 Ghana Cedis respectively. The deadline for registration within Ghana has been set for October 2.
The tournament will be staged across four regions—Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central, and Oti—with each host expected to showcase some of Ghana’s brightest grassroots football talents.
CEO of the tournament, Prince Nnaemeka Nwankwo, and Project Manager, Jenny Anusiem, noted that the team has been engaging football administrators and key stakeholders in the host regions to secure the necessary support.
Also present at the meeting was the Greater Accra Regional Coordinator, Alex Ofori Ansah, a CAF Licensed D coach at Progen Football Academy, who assured the RFA of the region’s readiness for the competition.
The Game On Afrika Tournament aims to unearth young football talents and contribute to the growth of grassroots football development across Ghana.
