The Local Organising Committee of the 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup has announced Saturday 29th October for draws and 5th of November 2022 for the opening ceremony of the eagerly anticipated competition.
According to a media release, signed by the Media Officer of the Competition Mark Nuhu Mabudi, the LOC has resolved and approved the draws and opening ceremony dates.
Part of the statement reads “As we promised last week to set a new date for the draws and opening ceremony, the LOC have approved the 29th October and 5th November, 2022 for the Draws and Opening Ceremonies respectively. It wasn’t our plan to reschedule these events but it became necessary because of our commitment to deliver a good tournament.
” We have put all modalities in place and are expecting a tournament that supercede the previous ones that had been held. All the teams are ready and the organisers too are ready.”
The draws will take place at the Mawato Hotel on the 29th of October by 12noon in Kaltungo LGA while the opening ceremony will be hosted by the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium Kaltungo on the 5th of November.
Mark also stated that the Draws Ceremony is strictly by invitation. Team officials and other invited guests are to be seated by 11am while special guest are expected to be seated by 11:45 am.
