The organisers of the 2nd edition of the most flamboyant and money spinning Akarachi Mbaike Football Tournament have presented set of kits to the semi-finalists of the ongoing competition ahead of the grand finale of the tournament billed for Sunday at the Ifakala Community Secondary School, Ifakala, Mbaitoli.
By sheer providence, the two teams that locked horns in last year final, Amaimo and Orodo B are set to have a replay of that grand finale blockbuster again on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 while Orodo A who were narrowly beaten in the semi-final will strive to go for the third position when they face Akabo also on Sunday.
To ensure that the four teams are in matching outfits and are resplendently dressed, the organisers of the competition powered by Engineer Akarachi Amadi have donated two dozens of boots and a set of hose to each of the four remaining teams.
Performing that enviable task was the Chairman, Local Organising Committee, (LOC) of the Akarachi Mbaike Unity Cup, Chief Godson Onyemaobi and assisted by other members of the committee.
All the 24 teams from Ikeduru and Mbaitoli Local Government Areas make up of all the wards in the two LGAs were early before the start of the tournament presented with jerseys and shorts by the organisers to ensure they are adorned uniformly.
The latest gesture from the sports loving and youth friendly Engineer Akarachi Amadi will no doubt endear him more to the youths and other good people of the two Local Government Areas.
It was a similar thing that was done at the inception of the competition in late 2020 to the early part of last year with all the participating teams provided with all the necessary comfort for a hitch-free tournament.
