Matchday 6 in the NWFL Premiership offers us another mid-week of non-stop action. We saw some great results last week and some players who gave a good account of themselves.

Rivers Angels, Sunshine Queens won away from home, while Royal Queens picked a point in Calabar. Osun Babes, Edo Queens, Delta Queens won narrowly at home.

Now it’s the time for www.thenwfl.com in conjunction with www.dasportstainment247.com to give you a preview of the Matchday 6 games.

FC ROBO QUEENS 🆚 ROYAL QUEENS (LEGACY FOOTBALL PITCH,NATIONAL STADIUM SURULERE)
FC Robo Queens have won all their two home games this season and will be looking forward to another great test against Royal Queens who picked a point in Calabar against Pelican Stars last week.

The ‘Lagos Landladies’ will be without current league topscorer Monday Gift and Habeebat Akinwande as both are in Turkey with the Super Falcons, but Osahon Emmanuel is surely confident of a victory against the Canadian Geese.

DREAMSTAR LADIES 🆚 PELICAN STARS (AGEGE TOWNSHIP STADIUM, LAGOS).
Dreamstar Ladies won their last home game against Ibom Angels and will want another one against Pelican Stars who haven’t won a game this season. The ‘Ayade’ ladies lost scandalously last month when they visited Lagos. Will they get a good result this week?

Juliet Iroele, Anuoluwapo Salisu and others will be aiming to propel a victory against the Calabar side who will be looking at getting their first victory this season.

Pelican Stars: LDLLD

RIVERS ANGELS 🆚 OSUN BABES (UNIPORT, SPORTS COMPLEX, PORT HARCOURT)
Rivers Angels earned their first away victory this season last week against Ibom Angels and will do all they can on the pitch to continue with the streak. They remain one of the teams that haven’t lost a game this season. Osun Babes will look up to the test and try to put an upset in place when both sides meet on Wednesday.

The last time both sides met in Port-harcourt, the game ended 2-1 in favour of the ‘New Vision’ Ladies. Maryann Ezeanagu, Precious Christopher, Damilola Koku are the stars to watch out for in Rivers Angels, while Kafayat Bashiru, Yemisi Samuel, Sarah Iloduba and others will be up for a tough task in Porthacourt.

CONFLUENCE QUEENS 🆚 DELTA QUEENS (CONFLUENCE STADIUM, LOKOJA)
Both sides won their home games last week and its normal they will want to continue with the momentum. The sudden resignation of the home team’s head coach, Whyte Ogbonda has put the preparations for this tie up in the air. Can they secure two straight wins at home? Agams Nkechi has been in great form, while newly signed player, Peace Abbey will be in attack alongside Dominance Odubanjo for Delta Queens.

Confluence Queens: DLWLW
Delta Queens: WLWLW

BAYELSA QUEENS 🆚 EDO QUEENS (SAMSON SIASIA STADIUM, YENAGOA)
This is perhaps the biggest game of the week, both sides are very ambitious and this will make the game tough and more interesting.

The pressure will be on Bayelsa Queens who lost their last game against Delta Queens and will be playing at home..

No doubt, both teams boast of some of the best players in the country.

Edo Queens: WWDDW

NASARAWA AMAZONS 🆚 ABIA ANGELS (LAFIA CITY STADIUM, LAFIA).
This could be another chance for Nasarawa Amazons to pick another maximum point, but Abia Angels are always a strong side away from home. This match promises to be captivating.

Nasarawa Amazons have only one once this season, while Abia Angels have won twice. The ‘Solid Babes’ are going to be without their captain Mariam Ibrahim, but the likes of Sarah Nnodim should stand in well for her as a leader in the backline.

Abia Angels: WLWLL

SUNSHINE QUEENS 🆚 IBOM ANGELS (ONDO STATE SPORTS COMPLEX, AKURE)
Another tough battle for the Orange Ladies to face on the road. They lost last week at home to Rivers Angels and yet will face a Sunshine Queens who are in great form after that win in Umuahia against Abia Angels.

Uduakaobong Peter, Ayo Omosuyi and others will have to step up their game if they are to get a positive result in Akure, while Seun Fakunle will be hoping to score more goals this season.

Ibom Angels:LDWLL
