Momoh, Elam commend outcome of National Sports Federations’ Elections

The Former Technical Director of Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Philip Momoh (OLY) and Former National Volleyball Team Player, Elishama Elam has commended the processes that brought in various board members into the National Sports Federations.

Former African Wrestling Champion, Philip Momoh hailed the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports for not manipulating or influencing the electorates.

The Olympian said the delegates voted for their choices of candidates adding that elections were free, fair and credible.

He said, “The elections of the Presidents and Vice Presidents of the various National Sports Federations went smoothly. We must commend the electoral committee and electorates for according to the rules.

“The elections went as planned and there was no form of intimidation, manipulation and high-handedness from the staff of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.”

“Delegates nominated their candidates for the various positions and the voters casted their votes for their choices of candidates”, he added.

Meanwhile, Elishama Elam said the staff of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development were mere observers during the elections and did not partake in influencing delegates.

Elam advised the ministry of sports to maintain the templates used during the 2021 National Sports Federations Elections.
