All We seek is Justice for Tobi Adepoju!

3SC and the Oyo State Government must offer an apology within the next 48hours

Sir.

Our attention has been drawn to a very ugly incident that took place on Wednesday June 1st, in Ibadan, the Oyo state Capital.

It was an NPFL Fixture between 3SC of Ibadan and Remo stars FC of Ogun state at the Lekan Salami stadium in Ibadan. .

After the match, our colleague, a respectable and responsible sports journalist, was attacked, molested and ridiculed by the home fans who claimed that he was in Ibadan on a special assignment sponsored by enemies of the club.

As a journalist of over one decade, Tobi Adepoju has religiously covered the NPFL and has remained law abiding and professional in the discharge of his duty

During these period, he has not hidden his love for Shooting Stars Sports club, a team he has been supporting ever since he was a child.

So it came as a rude shock and surprise to friends of Adepoju that he could be treated this way in his own state and by his own people.

Disappointed by this behavior, the sporting media have decided to petition Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan and the Oyo state government, by demanding that they immediately look into this matter, identify and reprimand whoever might have championed this assault and take actions where necessary.

We also request that a letter of apology be sent to the family of Tobi Adepoju by Shooting Stars Sports Club before the close of work on Friday June 3.

Failure to do this will incur the wrath of the Sporting Media as we will be left with no other option but to declare total media backlash on 3SC Football Club of Ibadan and the Government of Oyo State.

This is not a threat, it is an appeal for urgent action. It will however become a threat if and when our appeal is not respected.

We look forward to your quick action and response.
