Danish League: Emotional Akinkunmi Amoo celebrates Copenhagen title win with Mum

Super Eagles midfielder, Akinkunmi Amoo was full of emotions on Sunday as he celebrated with Copenhagen winning the Danish Premier League following a convincing 3-0 home win over Aalborg at Parken Stadium.

The young midfield enforcer who sat of out of final day clash due to injury celebrated the title with his mum as he expressed delight part of the Copenhagen family.

Amoo who used his twitter page to share the happy moments however promised an improved performance for Copenhagen next season, thanking all for the support as he looked forward to more of it.

“I am delighted to be part of this historic moment at Copenhagen. The experience at this iconic club has been interesting. I am looking forward to next season, to give my best for the badge, win titles and be part of the club history.

“I appreciate the fans for their love and kindness since I arrived at Copenhagen, I have enjoyed overwhelming love and support.

I am honoured for the opportunity the coaching staff and the club management gave me to be part of this family, my teammates have been wonderful as well.

“Emotional day for me, living this moment with my Mother, I will cherish today all my life.

“To all my fans and friends, it’s the beginning of more success, thank you for the amazing support. Thank you for supporting your boy, all your prayers and words of encouragement, I am not taking them for granted. God bless you all.”

Akinkunmi Amoo joined Copenhagen from Swedish side, Hammarby in the midway through the just concluded season playing two games and scoring a goal.
