Enyimba head coach, Usman Abd’Allah has expressed his optimism that his wards would turn the table when they host Rahimo of Burkina Faso in the return leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League next weekend in Aba.

The People’s Elephant fell to a 1-0 loss at the Stade 4 Aout de Ouagadougou through Issouf Zonon’s 30th-minute strike and they must score at least two unreplied goals in Aba for them to stand a chance of making it to the next round of the lucrative club competition.

Abd’Allah noted that they have looked at what they did wrong in the first leg and that the process of correcting them has started in earnest after the completion of the game in Ouagadougou.

He opined that if his players are able to utilize the opportunity that will be presented and also correct the mistakes noticed, it could be a rout of the visiting Rahimo next weekend.

“The first leg result didn’t go in our favour but we must remain very hopeful that we are going back home to look at what we did wrong and how to correct them,” Abd’Allah told DaSportsTainment247.com

“It was a very tough game but we committed some mistakes that we should have avoided. We also missed some few chances we had. We must play at our best in the second leg. I know that if we do that, we should be able to surmount them.

“It was our first real test since the conclusion of last season. We should be ready for the second leg.”
