Pokwangli United held off stiff opposition from Samba Boys to clinch a place in the final of the 6th edition of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup slated for Wednesday December 29th.

Pokwangli United defeated Samba Boys 3-1 to cruise to the final of the tournament.

It looked like Pokwangli United had wrapped up the game after 61 minutes when they went 2-0 up against depleted Samba Boys through the goals of Peace Uwandu and Paul Tanko but Gabriel Kadus spot kick gave Samba Boys a lifeline after Abdulrahman Adamu was upended in the 18 yards box.

Peace Uwandu earned another brace just like he did in the quarter-final game when he rifled home 25 yard free-kick in the game to help restore Pokwangli United’s two goals cushion and thus ended the faint hope of Samba Boys’ comeback.

The Kaltungo LGA side continued with their unbeaten streak in the ongoing competition and will face Oska United in the epic final with a view to winning it.
